About the Archive

The archive contains about 150,000 photos captured between 2009 and 2011. The photos are primarily clustered at University of Washington and Cornell campuses, where a PhotoCity competition between the two universities took place. Additional PhotoCity models are scattered over five continents.

Types of data available:

• Photos:
  • ~150,000 photos total
  • 1600px max dimension
  • Original EXIF tags
  • GPS estimates from SfM/manual map alignment process
  • Which model they are associated with
  • Which player uploaded them
• 3D Models:
  • ~100 models on 5 continents (mostly United States)
  • Bundle files from Noah Snavely's Bundler
  • Dense PMVS point cloud (.ply)
